Studio Brunswick recognises the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation as owners of the land and pays respect to their elders past, present and emerging. We acknowledge sovereignty was never seeded and support the Uluru statement from the heart as the beginning point for treaty and constitutional representation.
Studio Brunswick Ethos:
Keep it local - proximity is everything. Stay put and allow the slow growth to happen. Utilise a generative culture to support the creative skill sets that exist in Melbourne, and if some need developing, be a part of supporting them to grow. Work towards a sustainable future. Listen to what else can be done for the greater good.
What we are doing:
We provide weekly probono studio time to local artists and community groups for meetings, rehearsals and exhibitions. Counting thus far we have hosted 10 dance rehearsals, 4 solo shows, 3 group shows (containing over 20 local artists each time). See here for more information.
We partner with organisations to provide Awards and Prizes in the creative industries. Our current partners are:

The CCP - Supporting local photographic artists through our $2500 CCP Salon award for best symbolic work.

Through our quarterly $500 donation fund we support organisations who are doing the good in world we cannot do, because they do it best.
2018 4th quarter - The Melbourne Buddhist Centre building fund.
2019 1st quarter - Doctors without borders
2019 2nd quarter - Waltja Tjutangku Palyapayi Aboriginal.
We are working on workshops to support emerging creatives. In 2018 we trained 6 emerging photographers in the need to knows of becoming photography assistants.
