To develop your on set confidence, you will have plenty of hands on experience with equipment in an open and relaxed environment. This workshop will give you an insight into how the Photography Industry works and how to get your foot in the door.

Further Information
We will cover hands-on industry-relevant skills that photographers need in an assistant. You will have the time to ask questions and learn how to handle expensive gear, without the pressure of being on a live set. For example: how to safely and correctly set up light stands, a studio flash and light modifiers. You will also learn how to approach photographers for assistant work and how to tailor your approach based on your personality. Along with many other experienced based tips including access to the assistants' gear cheat sheet and a run through the basics of camera tethering.

You are
Ideally experienced operating a camera, able to control ISO, aperture and shutter speed. Up to the challenge and physically able to move light and stand equipment that is cumbersome and heavy.

Refunds
A 50% refund will be processed when cancellations are made less than 5 days before the start time of the workshop. Zero refund will be processed when cancellations are made less than 3 days before the start time of the workshop.

Max Milne
Photographer and Studio Brunswick Founder, Max has over 13 years’ experience in the photographic industry. He has assisted Gary Heery, Juliet Taylor and Toby Burrows, and worked as an advertising photographer for Bendigo Bank, Melbourne University and TAC. He has hosted workshops at the NGV, and lectured in the Photography Department, Holmesglen TAFE from 2015 – 2017.
